Call for papers for the Alumni Yearbook on the 40th Anniversary of BNUBS

The year 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of BNUBS (1979-2019). Over the past 40 years, the School has changed its name several times (Department of Political Economy, Department of Economics, School of Economics, School of Economics and Business Administration, but generations of graduates have always been adhering to the school motto of "learning to be a teacher, acting in the world", and taking the mission of " promoting business and culture to serve the nation and the world through creating knowledge and educating talents", and have promoted the development of the School.

  

 

Over the past 40 years, the School has built a complete talent training system for undergraduates, academic masters, professional masters, doctors and postdocs, and also recruits overseas students. Our alumni spread all over China and overseas. With their wisdom and sweat, they have made positive contributions to the economic development and the construction of the motherland, and won a good reputation for our Alma mater and our School. Alumni are the pride of our School and the shining name card of our School. In order to fully demonstrate the development of the School over the past 40 years, show the style of its alumni, inherit the virtuous and erudite spirit of its predecessors, inspire the courage of its predecessors, and gather the strength of its alumni from all walks of life, the School plans to edit and publish the BNUBS Alumni Yearbook and we are now gathering manuscripts and photos from alumni.

 

Ⅰ. Target

 

Alumni at home and abroad, faculty and staff, faculty and staff who have worked in BNUBS, people from all walks of life who care about and support the development of the BNUBS.

 

Ⅱ. Content

 

1. Recollections of historical events, major events and important figures of the BNUBS.

 

2. Recall the campus life and describe the campus complex, such as the teacher style, the friendship between teachers and students, the friendship between students.

 

3. Talk about the development of the BNUBS and look forward to the bright future of the BNUBS.

 

4. Experience and perception about the development of the BNUBS and personal growth.

 

5. All kinds of meaningful old photos, such as: grade and class graduation photos, study and work photos, photos of other activities.

6. Other articles and video materials that can reflect the theme of the ceremony.

 

Ⅲ. Requirements

  1. There is no limit to the theme of the essay, and the title is self-designed; The article should be the original work, the content is positive and healthy, full of real feelings; No more than 2000 words.

  2. Submissions should be submitted in Word electronic format, and the text should be set to Song style and small font size. A brief introduction of the author (name, student number, gender, date of birth, date of graduation, shift, and contact information) in less than 300 words should accompany the manuscript. Current work or study profile, such as: unit, job title, major publications or achievements). Please send 2-3 photos (standard photos, work photos, and life photos) to the contributor in the email.

3. For the related old photos, please provide JPG original pictures with brief text descriptions. The resolution should not be less than 300dpi and the pixel should not be less than 1M.

Please indicate the date of entry, department and major, name, contact information, etc. (All manuscripts will not be returned, the author is requested to keep the manuscript).

V. Other instructions

 

1. As the Alumni Yearbook will be published before the anniversary of the school, please do not submit any manuscript later than April 30, 2019. The manuscript is considered to be accepted for review, and the editorial board will decide whether to use it or not.

 

2. The School owns all copyright rights except the right of authorship. All authors who participate in this essay contest are deemed to agree with and abide by the above agreement.

 

3. If you are unable to write due to busy work, you may also appoint a time, and we will send a reporter to visit you and listen to your teachings. If you still have the relevant historical materials and photos, you can also contact us to remake or copy.
