Economics (Experimental program)
The program is an innovative experimental project of the Ministry of Education, and aims to cultivate qualified professionals in Economics with strong research and innovation skills, as well as solid knowledge of economic theories and methods. The curriculum of the experimental program provides intensive training in mathematical thinking and related skills. It introduces a series of thematic research discussion classes, and establishes an interactive learning system between instructors and students, emphasizing international pedagogical methods and providing international internships, study tours and communication platforms to strengthen communication between local and foreign students. It produces graduates with advanced research skills who work productively and communicate easily in the international competitive environment.

Main Courses:
Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Real Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Development Economics and GameTheory.

Job Placement:
In recent years, 99.4% of the students received offers for work or further study upon graduation. Of these, 75% continued to graduate study in top universities at home and abroad such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Columbia University, and the University of Maryland in the United States. The rest accepted teaching and research positions in universities and research institutes such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, or positions in economic analysis, forecasting, and management departments and institutes such as the CCTV (China Central Television), and PICC (People's Insurance Company of China).


International Economy and Trade (Maxdo Experimental Program)
Named as both a “National Specialty” and a “Beijing Specialty” under the support of the Maxdo Foundation, this dual-degree program was formally established in 2013 with the aim of cultivating sophisticated, multicultural high-end professionals to work in the business and management sectors, as well as research and teaching positions in economic and trade departments, domestic and foreign-funded enterprises, and government agencies. International instructors are hired to teach specialized courses in English. Meanwhile, students in the program are also required to learn a second language (French, German, Portuguese or Spanish), and they will be receiving dual degrees in both Economics and International Economics and Trade upon completing all credit requirements. The top 60 percent of students will be selected to enroll in exchange programs with our partner universities abroad for one year, where they will continue the study of their second language and major courses.

International Trade, International Trade Practice, International Finance, International Settlement, International Commercial Law, International Investment, International Business Negotiation, International Transport and Insurance, International Service Trade, Business English Correspondence.

Employment
the International Economics and Trade Department :
In recent years, the fresh graduate employment rate of this major is 100%, 50% of which continues their study in top universities home and abroad such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Columbia University, and the University of Maryland in the United States. 15% of the students have been admitted by the MIB (Master of International Business) program of the BNU Business School; while the rest of the students have been offered positions in the section of education institutes and business management, investigation, publicity and planning for enterprises and institutions such as universities and schools, COSCO (China Ocean Shipping Group Company), Sinopec.


Finance
This major aims to cultivate high-end professionals who are able to find jobs in government bodies, business service operations, and financial and investment enterprises such as banks, securities companies and insurance companies.

Main Courses:
Financial Marketing, Finance Basics, Investment, Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, International Finance.

Job Placement:
In recent years, all of this program's graduates obtained offers for work or further study upon graduation. Of these, 55% continued to graduate study in top universities at home and abroad such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, or University of Michigan, and University of Southern California. The rest of the students have obtained positions in research and teaching institutes, and positions in financial institutions and financial accounting departments in enterprises, including ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China), the Bank of China, and SZSE (Shenzhen Stock Exchange).


Business Administration (International Business Management Experimental Program)
This major aims to cultivate skilled professionals in the field of international business management, emphasizing an international perspective, humanistic thought, and the professional skills required to work on academic research and in international corporations. The experimental class adopts a pedagogical approach that combines three key components. First, the professional component of the curriculum emphasizes relevant courses in English and international business management; second, the international communication component adopts the two-way communication method - “invite in” and “step out,” which means that over half of the program's students have the opportunity to study overseas during their years at BNU; third, the the enterprise practice component establishes cooperative relationships with foreign-funded enterprises and internationally-oriented Chinese corporations, providing 3rd and 4th year students with internship opportunities lasting at least two months.

Job Placement:
In recent years, 90% of this program's graduates obtained offers for work or further study upon graduation. Of these, 45% continued to graduate study in top universities at home and abroad such as Peking University and Fudan University, Lehigh University in the United States and Durham University in the United Kingdom. Fifteen percent of the students have been admitted to the MIB (Master of International Business) program of the BNU Business School, while the rest of the students work for foreign-owned enterprises and local companies with international operations, including KPMG (Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler) and CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation).


Accounting
This major aims to cultivate high-end professionals with solid accounting knowledge, who are able to work for enterprises, public institutions, government agencies, and financial and securities companies, as well as accounting firms.

Accounting, Accounting Information System, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Tax Laws, Tax Accounting, Auditing, Financial Analysis, International Accounting.

Job Placement:
In recent years, all of this program's graduates obtained offers for work or further study upon graduation. Of these, 40% continued to graduate study in top universities at home and abroad such as Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, The University of Michigan in the US, and Britain's Manchester University; the rest of the students have been employed in accounting related sections of multinational corporations, public companies, financial institutions, accounting firms, government agencies and public institutions, including the Deloitte & Touche LPP accounting firm, the Ernst & Young accounting firm, as well as the China CYTS Tours Holding Corporation.
