The Opening Ceremony of the 2025 MBA "Business Promotion" Experience Camp of BNUBS Was Successfully Held

On June 30, 2024, the opening ceremony of the 2025 MBA "Business Promotion" experience camp of BNUBS was successfully held in the amphitheatre of the Electronics Building.

Hu Conghui, Associate Dean of BNUBS; Gao Minghua, Director of Research Center of Corporate Governance and Enterprise Development, Beijing Normal University; Wang Lulu, Associate Director of MBA Education Center; Chen Xiaojuan, member of MBA Admissions team, Tian Lu, member of MBA Admissions team; Jun Jun, 2016 alumni of MBA ; Xu Meng, 2017 alumni of MBA and candidates from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony. This event aims to provide a platform for aspiring MBA students to have an in-depth understanding of the MBA program of BNUBS (hereinafter referred to as "BNU MBA") and share innovative practical experience.

The opening ceremony of the experience camp was hosted by Sun Yu, a new 2024 MBA student , and it was divided into five parts: "Master" open class, practice and innovation sharing, MBA program introduction, lottery interaction, and related policy interpretation.

At the beginning of the event, Professor Hu Conghui, Associate Dean of BNUBS, delivered the opening speech. First of all, he extended a warm welcome to the campers who came from afar, and introduced in detail the glorious history, profound cultural accumulation and outstanding academic achievements of Beijing Normal University and BNUBS. Professor Hu Conghui emphasized the outstanding advantages of the School in the field of MBA education, shared his unique insights and vision on MBA education, and encouraged everyone to pursue excellence and reach new heights. He also wished all applicants to have good results for the MBA program in the future examination.

Subsequently, the "Master" open class (the first lecture) was delivered by Professor Gao Minghua, BNUBS. With the theme "Is the perception that 'holding' must be 'controlling' consistent with corporate governance principles?", Professor Gao Minghua brought us a wonderful academic feast. He analyzed the key issues in corporate governance in simple terms, such as the rights and responsibilities of controlling shareholders, the importance of board independence, etc., and analyzed the risks and challenges that may be brought about by the control of major shareholders through practical cases. Professor Gao Minghua's explanation is simple and fascinating, which has triggered audience’s thinking and heated discussion on the modernization reform of corporate governance.

In the practice and innovation sharing session, 2016 MBA alumnus and MBA external mentor Lu Jun shared his rich experience and remarkable achievements in entrepreneurship guidance, cultural and creative project development, school-enterprise cooperation and personal career development. Drawing on his personal experience, he detailed his innovative practices and challenges in the travel industry, as well as how to seize market opportunities and maximize his personal value. The sharing made everyone deeply inspired, and they said that they should dare to try and innovate, laying a solid foundation for future career development.

Xu Meng, a 2017 MBA alumnus, reviewed his study experience and personal growth in the MBA program of Beijing Normal University. From the original intention of applying for MBA, the challenges and gains in the study process, to the successful transformation and breakthrough in his career after graduation, Xu Meng told his story with vivid examples and sincere emotions. He stressed the profound impact of the MBA program of BNUBS on him, and the importance of quality educational resources and practical opportunities provided by the School for his personal growth. Xu Meng's sharing made everyone present feel the value and significance of MBA education, and inspired their confidence to pursue higher goals.

The atmosphere reached a climax during the raffle. The audience not only won a generous prize, but also deepened mutual understanding and friendship in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Then, Ms. Wang Lulu, Associate Director of the MBA Education Center of BNUBS, introduced in detail the multi-dimensional characteristics and advantages of the MBA program in BNUBS. She pointed out that the MBA program of Beijing Normal University has a strong faculty team and rich curriculum resources, and is committed to cultivating outstanding talents with international vision, innovative spirit and practical ability. The MBA in BNUBS actively cooperates with enterprises and alumni to provide students with practical opportunities and career development guidance, helping them realize the dual enhancement of personal value and social value. Ms.Wang Lulu's explanation enabled everyone to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the MBA program of Beijing Normal University, and also strengthened the determination to prepare for the exam.

Finally, Teacher Tian Lu explained the application process and precautions of the experience camp in detail. She introduced in detail the key links such as the preparation of application materials, the way of submission, and the comprehensive assessment process, and provided practical suggestions and help for everyone. At the same time, teacher, Teacher Chen Xiaojuan and Teacher Tian Lu, also conducted on-site consultation and answering questions and puzzles about MBA program and application for experience camp. The patient answers and warm attitude of the two teachers made everyone feel the warmth and care of the MBA program of Beijing Normal University.
