In order to further promote the study and implementation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, firmly implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, bearing in mind the brilliant achievements of the construction of the Red Flag Canal in Anyang, Henan Province, further enhance the understanding and recognition of the history, revolutionary culture, ideals and beliefs of the Party, and guide the majority of teachers and students and party members to continue the red blood and inherit the spirit of hard work, from April 12 to 14, 2024, the Party Committee of BNUBS organized nearly 50 party members, teachers and students representatives to carry out practical activities at the Red Education Base in Hongqi Canal, Anyang, Henan Province.

On the afternoon of April 12th, the teachers and students of the School arrived in Anyang, Henan Province, and walked into the Chinese Writing Museum and Yin Ruins Museum for visiting and learning, inheriting and carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture. When you enter the museum of Chinese characters, you will see the characters of various periods, such as oracle bone inscriptions, Jin wen and small seal characters on display, which are either simple and elegant, or bold and bold, and each character contains profound historical deposits and cultural connotations. During the visit, the teachers and students not only appreciated the exquisite cultural relics and pictures, but also had an in-depth understanding of the historical and cultural connotation behind Chinese characters through interactive experience, watching videos and other forms, and had a deeper understanding of the inheritance and development of Chinese culture.

Then, the teachers and students of the School came to visit the Yin Ruins Museum. Named for its location in the ruins of the palace Temple, Yin Ruins Museum is the birthplace of Chinese archaeology, the birthplace of oracle bone inscriptions, and a national key cultural relic protection unit of the historical site type.The precious historical and cultural heritage embodies the deepest spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation and provides rich nourishment for the continuous growth and development of the Chinese nation.Following the footsteps of the General Secretary Xi Jinping, the teachers and students went to the Yin Ruins Museum to learn the splendid Yin Shang culture, deeply understood the Yin Shang civilization, deeply felt the long history of Chinese civilization, and further enhanced cultural confidence, absorbed spiritual nutrients, and gather the striving force.

On April 13, the teachers and students came to Gu Wenchang Memorial Hall, Red Flag Canal Memorial Hall and Youth Cave and other places to carry out on-site observation and learning, learn the spirit of Red Flag Canal at close range, and truly feel the confidence, determination, courage and wisdom of the people of Lin County to "vow to protect our rivers and mountains".In the Gu Wenchang Memorial Hall, under the guidance of the docent, teachers and students touched history closely through physical objects, real scenes, examples, and practical facts, and traced the footprints of the Party's struggle and glorious course together.Gu Wenchang is the "four" cadres model, who bears the party, the people, the responsibility and the precepts in his heart. During the visit, they remembered the example, inherited the spirit, and deeply realized the heroic spirit of the people of Linxian County who "determined to split Taihang Mountains" and refused to accept fate, refused to concede defeat, and dared to fight heaven and earth.

In the Red Flag Canal Memorial Hall, a series of precious historical photos, a sand table model, a frame of film and television documentary, vividly reproduced the magnificent picture of the stories happened before. It showed the gestation and development process of the Red Flag Canal spirit, and witnessed the great miracle created by the people of Linzhou under the leadership of the Communist Party to build the Red Flag Canal. As well as the moving epic of Linzhou people fighting Taihang, making Taihang rich and beautiful, the teachers and students of the School felt the red flag canal spirit of "self-reliance, hard work, unity and cooperation, selfless dedication".

Subsequently, the teachers and students of the college followed the footsteps of the builders up the stairs to the Youth Cave on the cliff of Taihang Mountain, and experienced the amazing feat of the Communist Party members and the people of Linxian County who fought hard, cut through the walls and stones, and forged the "artificial Tianhe", and experienced the hardships of "Yu Gong rose for ten spring and autumn years, divergingZhangheRiver and wetting the field". They witnessed the magnificence and greatness of the Red Flag Canal project, which took the bull by the horns and fought hard for ten years.

On the morning of April 14, teachers and students walked into the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain to feel the uncanny workmanship of nature. Taking the "Taihang Road" and the "Rich People Road", they realized the practical spirit of self-reliance and hard work of the mountain people. Walking in the canyon, the natural scenery is beautiful, the mountain road is winding and rugged, and the steps are narrow and steep. The teachers and students helped each other to climb together, reviewed the arduous process of building the Red Flag Canal and the heroic feat of singing and weeping, understood the spirit of hard work, unity and cooperation of the Red Flag Canal, and drew the wisdom and strength of advancing from the spirit of the Red Flag Canal.
