On the afternoon of June 24, 2026, the demonstration meeting for the Master’s Training Program in Low-Altitude Economy of Beijing Normal University was held in Conference Room 1710 of the Rear Main Building. Participants conducted in-depth deliberations on core dimensions of the program, including training objectives, curriculum framework, practical teaching arrangements, faculty support and interdisciplinary backing. The meeting was presided over by Professor Qi Yudong, Dean of Beijing Normal University Business School (BNUBS). A panel of six distinguished experts from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beihang University, Beijing Jiaotong University and Beijing Normal University constituted the appraisal committee.

At the outset of the meeting, the preparatory team for the Master’s Program in Low-Altitude Economy delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the overall design, training targets, curriculum setup, practical modules and distinctive strengths of the proposed program. During the expert review session, all panel members reached a consensus that the low-altitude economy, a burgeoning pillar industry prioritized in China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, faces an acute shortage of high-level specialized professionals. The launch of this master’s program at Beijing Normal University, built upon its multi-disciplinary strengths, carries profound practical significance and forward-looking value. The experts put forward targeted suggestions: the training program shall further highlight the university’s disciplinary edges and strengthen integrated curriculum design that links low-altitude economy with regional development, industrial policy, spatial governance, ecological conservation, smart transportation and emergency management. It is essential to deepen collaborative partnerships with government authorities, research institutes and industrial enterprises to develop high-standard practical training bases and case teaching resources. Priority should be given to fostering students’ capabilities in data analysis, policy research and integrated decision-making, so as to build a talent cultivation system with unique distinguishing features.

Associate Dean Jiang Jie extended sincere gratitude to all experts for their professional guidance and constructive feedback. She emphasized that the development of the Master’s Training Program in Low-Altitude Economy must adhere to three guiding principles: serving national strategies, keeping pace with industrial frontiers, and embodying the distinctive academic strengths of Beijing Normal University. The School will further refine training objectives, optimize curriculum architecture, scale up practical training components and perfect full-cycle quality assurance mechanisms. BNUBS will fully absorb all expert recommendations to polish the training program, advance high-quality development of the master’s program, and cultivate more interdisciplinary, application-oriented and innovative high-end professionals to fuel the growth of China’s low-altitude economy.

The successful convening of this demonstration meeting marks a crucial stride for Beijing Normal University in responding to major national strategic demands and optimizing its disciplinary and specialty layout. The establishment of the Master’s Program in Low-Altitude Economy will deliver robust talent reserves and intellectual support for the high-quality advancement of China’s low-altitude industrial sector, empowering the nation to seize competitive opportunities amid the new wave of technological revolution and industrial transformation.
