Empowering High School Development, Cultivating Future Talents Together — Beijing Normal University Launched Study and Exchange Activities with Nanchang No.2 High School

To give full play to Beijing Normal University’s leading role in basic education and steadily empower the development of high school education, more than 60 faculty and student representatives from Nanchang No.2 High School, led by Vice Principal Zhang Yiming, visited our university on the afternoon of May 27, 2026. They participated in immersive study tours, campus visits, admission briefings and exchange activities.

During the event, teachers and students from Nanchang No.2 High School visited iconic campus sites, Jingshi Square and the University History Museum in succession. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the university’s century-old educational heritage, educational philosophy and achievements in building a Double First-Class university, and experienced the fine academic atmosphere and distinctive school-running characteristics up close. The activity further enhanced Jiangxi students’ understanding and recognition of Beijing Normal University.

 

 

 

Afterwards, the delegation went to laboratories in the Physics Building for scientific research experience. By observing advanced experimental equipment and listening to professional explanations, the students learned about the cutting-edge research directions and achievements in physics, and felt the university’s strong scientific research strength and high-quality educational resources. This immersive experience not only aroused their admiration for Beijing Normal University, but also planted seeds of scientific exploration and aspirations for basic discipline research in their hearts.

 

Following the on-site study tour, a special admission briefing was held in Jingshi Building. Niu Xiaoyou, Deputy Director of the Admission Office under the Academic Affairs Department, delivered the presentation. He comprehensively introduced the university’s overall strengths, featured majors and top-notch talent training systems. He also gave a full explanation of the enrollment regulations, selection criteria, training features and further study support policies of the Strong Foundation Program. The session built an efficient communication platform for outstanding students from Jiangxi to access high-quality university resources and plan their further education.

This activity is an important practice of Beijing Normal University in leveraging its leading position in higher education to take root in local regions and drive the development of basic education. Going forward, the university will continue to expand regular and in-depth cooperation with key high schools in Jiangxi. A long-term supporting mechanism will be established in terms of faculty exchanges, study tours and student recruitment to build a new collaborative education ecosystem. The university will keep attracting and cultivating more aspiring students from Jiangxi who dedicate themselves to the country, and contribute to national strategic needs and local development.
