In order to further enrich the cultural and sports life of faculty and staff, the university Trade Union and the School of Physical Education and Sports jointly held the Beijing Normal University faculty and staff Air Volleyball Competition in 2023 with the theme of "Always follow the Party in the building of a new era" . At noon on May 18, 2023, at the badminton hall on the first floor of Qiu Jiduan Gymnasium, Teacher Sun Zhijun led a team of more than 10 teachers to compete with the environmental science team, the law team and the experimental primary school team.

Beijing Normal University Faculty Air Volleyball Competition officially kicked off at 12 noon on the 18th.

We played against the School of Environment and Science in the first half. Our team took the lead in serving, adjusted status quickly and won a number of points after the game started, and quickly showed an advantage. Subsequently, the other team launched a fierce attack under the guidance of the captain outside the field, desperately wanting to catching up. However, the teachers in our School were still calm and prepared, and adopted a more systematic defense plan, which made the understanding between the members rapidly improve, and the score improve again. Finally, our School won the game.

Then, the competition with the law school followed, and at the beginning of the competition, the two sides tested each other back and forth, and the scores were very close. After finding the other team's style, our team once again took the lead in launching an offense, constructing a tight offensive and defensive strategy with close and orderly formation changes, winning many goals in a row. In the face of this situation, the other team made a series of mistakes out of nervousness. Our team still remained calm, steady and continued to attack. Finally we won the game at 12:44 and entered the final eight.

At 18:00 on the evening of 19th, under the leadership of teacher Sun Zhijun, our School participated in the semi-final eight competition against the experimental primary school team. In the competition, we cooperated and encouraged each other, fully demonstrated our School's sports competitive level, and finally won the excellent result of eighth. After the game, the teachers took a group photo and shared the joy.

This activity not only enriched the amateur cultural life, but also further enhanced the internal cohesion and created a healthy and upward good atmosphere. At the same time, it has strengthened the exchanges and understanding between various departments, and we would work together to innovate the era with a more united and upward spirit.
