Zhao Hong relayed relevant work arrangements issued by the Ministry of Education and the university’s teaching schedule for the upcoming autumn semester. He noted that the university will continuously advance the “Three-Into” initiative—integrating Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into campuses, textbooks and classrooms—and fully strengthen the development of a curriculum system centered on this guiding ideology. To deliver high-quality instruction for Introduction to Xi Jinping Economic Thought, teachers are required to fully master and interpret the officially compiled textbook. Joint lesson preparation sessions serve as a vital platform to help faculty accurately grasp the core tenets and key contents of the textbook, exchange proven teaching experience, and innovate instructional methodologies, laying solid groundwork for the launch of the course in autumn. He stressed the need to further refine the cross-campus joint lesson preparation mechanism between Beijing and Zhuhai, build an interdisciplinary teaching and research community spanning both campuses, and scale up exemplary practices. Regular exchanges and mutual learning will facilitate consensus building and resource sharing. Meanwhile, the university will collaboratively develop teaching case libraries and high-quality featured courses, further integrating Xi Jinping Economic Thought into professional education through multi-pronged measures to secure tangible outcomes in curriculum development.

Professor Han Jing from BNUBS delivered a systematic overview of preparation progress, covering syllabus design, thematic teaching arrangements, and guidance on utilizing the textbook Introduction to Xi Jinping Economic Thought. Professors Wang Huachun from the School of Government, Duan Xiaogang, Associate Dean of the School of Statistics, and Zhong Xin, Associate Dean of BIBS, shared tailored teaching plans aligned with their respective disciplinary strengths. All participating faculty engaged in in-depth discussions on delivering precise, profound, vivid and practical instruction of Xi Jinping Economic Thought. They explored multiple dimensions including case development, comparative analysis of Chinese and Western economic theories, logical framework sorting, classroom design, and practical cases from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Participants proposed adopting diversified teaching approaches to help students perceive the profound power of the ideology, guiding them to shift from passive reception to active comprehension and voluntary engagement.

This joint preparation session marks a phased review of preparations for the new course, as well as a new starting point for strengthening faculty development and fostering an integrated teaching and research community across Beijing and Zhuhai campuses. Moving forward, the university will better leverage its interdisciplinary strengths, closely integrate theoretical insights with real-world practice, jointly develop high-quality teaching resources and typical cases, and deepen cross-school and cross-campus teaching seminars and collaborative exchanges. It will contribute BNU’s academic prowess to advancing the high-quality integration of Xi Jinping Economic Thought into all professional education programs.
