On the evening of March 24, 2024, the 29th lecture of the "Digital Economy and Management Lecture Hall" of BNUBS, "Digital Business Entering the Global Era", was held in the sixth Conference Room on the third floor of the Jingshi Building. Mr. Huang Lei, Dean of China Business School, was invited to give the lecture. Li Jing, Associate Director of MBA Education Center, presided over the lecture, and more than 200 students were present to listen.

Huang Lei, currently the dean of the First Business School, has served as the vice president of Alibaba Group, the president of Taobao University, the general manager of Taobao Education, and the executive president of Alipay University, the dean of Flying Pig Travel College and other Alibaba ecological digital education and training work.

The lecture focused on three aspects of the global era - what, why and how. President Huang Lei first combined the development history and business model of benchmarking enterprises, from online and offline, content and shelves, planting grass and transaction, public and private domain of four dimensions of what is the global era. Then, from the perspective of consumers, he explained why digital business has entered the global era, and he believed that the global is natural and inevitable. Finally, President Huang explained the global operation of digital business. In the global era of VUCA, new challenges bring new growth opportunities. The complexity of China's digital business platforms has created a multi-dimensional, global DTC (Direct to Consumer) model.In combination with a large number of digital business cases, Dean Huang Lei explained the new concept and trend of "the whole domain" in a simple way, which was meaningful, lively and interesting, and stimulated the students' interest and desire for in-depth exploration of digital business. Many students raised questions in combination with their own confusion in work, and Dean Huang answered them patiently.

Li Jing, deputy director of MBA Center, thanked Dean Huang Lei for his broad vision and rich content of the speech. The whole lecture was interactive, and the students benefited a lot and warmly applauded.

Introduction to the Lecture Series “Digital Economy and Management Lecture Hall”

BNUBS adheres to the mission of “Promoting business and culture to serve the nation and the world by creating knowledge and developing talents" and continues to pay attention to the development and practice of digital economy and management. Since September 2020, the “Digital Economy and Management Frontier Lecture Series” has been held 21 lectures. From May 2023, the lecture series has been officially upgraded to “Digital Economy and Management Lecture Hall”, showing the current development picture of digital economy and management from the perspectives of economy, management, culture, technology and change, trying to interpret the connotation and law of this surging forward tide. To lead the deeper thinking and practice of China's economic development and enterprise change and innovation in the new economic era.

From March to June 2024,“Digital Economy and Management Frontier Lecture Series” successively invited 6 heavyweight experts to share lectures, welcome to attend.
