Our School Held the First Internship and Practice Forum

To comprehensively improve the quality of talent cultivation and effectively enhance students' internship and practice capabilities, BNUBS held the first Internship and Practice Forum at the Jingwen Lecture Hall on the evening of June 30, 2025. Jiang Jie, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean of the School, attended the forum, and more than 280 students participated. The forum was hosted by Wang Jun, a full-time counselor.

First of all, Ms. Jiang Jie delivered a speech. She emphasized that internship and practice is an important part of talent training in colleges and universities, and it is of great significance for promoting the in-depth integration of theory and practice, improving comprehensive quality and professional literacy, enhancing core competitiveness in employment, and strengthening social responsibility. She hoped that students can take the initiative to obtain and make full use of rich internship resources, actively engage in internships and practices, and lay a solid foundation for career planning and improving employment quality.

Subsequently, graduate representatives of our School shared their internship experiences. Li Yingjue, a 2025 undergraduate graduate in accounting who is planning to study at the Peking University School of Transnational Law, based on the internship exploration process, suggested that undergraduates should seize the opportunity to try and error, and bravely try multiple directions before delving into a specific field. Wang Haoning, a 2023 master's graduate in finance who is now working at the headquarters of the Export-Import Bank of China, systematically sorted out the internship matrix of market-oriented financial institutions and quasi-institutional financial institutions, and encouraged students to understand themselves and the nature of the industry through internships, so as to lay a solid foundation for future employment. Kong Xiangyi, a 2022 undergraduate graduate in finance who is now working at China North Industries Corporation, emphasized that "internship is not a universal key to job hunting", reminding students to clarify the purpose of internship, pay attention to improving the effectiveness of internship, and strengthen mental state management during periodic fluctuations. Song Jilong, a 2023 undergraduate graduate in economics who is planning to work at the headquarters of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, focused on the quasi-institutional track, emphasizing the need to improve policy sensitivity, enhance soft internship and written interview skills, tell good job-hunting stories, and pointed out that quasi-institutional employment requires focusing on cultivating market-oriented thinking. Jiang Meiru, a 2025 master's graduate in world economics who is planning to work at the headquarters of a state-owned bank, carefully explained the key points of study and internship at each stage of university, and emphasized the importance of internship planning and review and reflection by sharing the gains and experiences from each internship.

Then, the forum entered the communication session. The guests patiently answered and carefully explained the questions raised by students, such as how to apply course knowledge to internship practice, how to improve interview skills, how to choose government affairs practice, and how to build core competitiveness.

Finally, Mr. Wang Jun made a concluding speech. He thanked the graduates for their wonderful sharing and encouraged students to promote action with knowledge and acquire knowledge through action, understand the professional world through internships and practices, and improve their comprehensive quality and competitiveness in the integration of theory and practice. He said that the School will continue to build high-quality internship and practice platforms, integrate various internship resources, and effectively serve the improvement of students' internship and practice quality.
