Our School Successfully Held a Guidance and Exchange Meeting on the Application for National Social Science Fund Projects

In order to earnestly do a good job in the application for 2025 National Social Science Fund projects and further strengthen organized scientific research, on April 16, the School successfully held a guidance and exchange meeting on the application for 2025 National Social Science Fund projects. Professor Zhao Chunming was invited to provide guidance at this meeting. Nearly 50 teachers, doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows with the intention of applying actively participated online. The meeting was chaired by Associate Dean Wei Hao.

Professor Zhao Chunming conducted a detailed interpretation and careful guidance on many key issues related to the evaluation rules, application key points, topic selection value, writing of the application form and loose-leaf, as well as application strategies and techniques of the National Social Science Fund projects, and put forward many highly constructive suggestions. When talking about the writing of the application form, Professor Zhao emphasized that attention must be paid to the logic of the argumentation, the fluency of the language and the standardization of the format. In addition, Professor Zhao also encouraged teachers and students to have the perseverance and determination of "holding on to the goals without relaxation" during the application process, carefully deliberate and polish the application form repeatedly, actively learn from outstanding peers, continuously improve the quality of the application, and strive to achieve a breakthrough. He also encouraged everyone to strengthen their confidence, firmly seize the final sprint stage, and go all out to improve the content of the application form in order to achieve excellent results in the application.

In his concluding speech, Associate Dean Wei Hao emphasized that "details determine success or failure". He reminded teachers to fully absorb the valuable opinions put forward by Professor Zhao Chunming according to their own research ideas, and repeatedly revise and polish the research content and language of the application form. At the same time, he pointed out that the School strongly supports and actively plans and arranges. According to the disciplinary directions and research contents, a one-on-one communication and guidance session has been carefully arranged to give full play to the leading and exemplary roles of discipline leaders and academic backbones, and to provide solid support for the project application work of the School's teachers in an all-round way.

The participating teachers gave feedback that they benefited a lot from this meeting. The meeting not only broadened their academic horizons, but also prompted them to deeply reflect on research methodologies, and gathered strong impetus for promoting the in-depth development of the project demonstration work. The successful convening of this meeting not only provided valuable guidance and reference experience for the project applications of the college's teachers, enhanced everyone's confidence in applying for projects, but also laid a solid foundation for the application work of the 2025 National Social Science Fund projects.
