BNUBS Held the 2026 Feng Lu-Daojie Innovation and Practice Scholarship Review Meeting

On the afternoon of June 8, 2026, Beijing Normal University Business School (BNUBS) convened the review meeting for the 2026 Feng Lu-Daojie Innovation and Practice Scholarship in Conference Room 1722 of the Rear Main Building. The review panel consisted of Feng Lu, the alumnus who funded the scholarship, Wang Jun, Associate Party Secretary of BNUBS, Chang Xinyang, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee, Dr. Chen Su from the Department of Finance, and dual-role counselors Li Lun and Zhang Huilin.

 

 

 

Established with donations from Feng Lu, an alumnus of the Class of 1996 of BNUBS, the Feng Lu-Daojie Innovation and Practice Scholarship aims to inspire outstanding undergraduates to embrace innovation and engage extensively in practical activities, fostering well-rounded talents with comprehensive competence and the four essential virtues for young people. Following individual application, document vetting and public notice, a total of 11 students qualified for the defense and review session of this year’s scholarship.

 

 

The meeting opened with remarks delivered by alumnus Feng Lu. Drawing on his own entrepreneurial and professional experiences, he put forward targeted suggestions regarding the School’s talent cultivation initiatives, with a particular focus on innovation and entrepreneurship education. He expressed his hope that the scholarship would motivate BNUBS students to translate academic knowledge into practical momentum, and sharpen their innovative thinking and hands-on capabilities through explorations in entrepreneurship, innovation projects and field research.

 

 

 

Subsequently, shortlisted candidates presented reports covering their experiences in innovation and entrepreneurship, field research, volunteer services and other practical undertakings, elaborating on insights and gains accumulated throughout these practices. Reviewers engaged in in-depth exchanges with each participant, evaluating their projects from the perspectives of thematic positioning, methodological application and achievement transformation.

 

 

   

 

 

 

Wang Jun delivered concluding remarks at the close of the session. He extended sincere gratitude to alumnus Feng Lu for his enduring devotion to the School’s development and care for BNUBS students. He encouraged all young learners to live up to the alumnus’ earnest expectations, keep pace with socioeconomic evolution, and conduct innovative practices rooted in China’s national realities and oriented toward people’s livelihood needs.

The selection process of the Feng Lu-Daojie Innovation and Practice Scholarship showcased the fine ethos of BNUBS students, who pursue academic excellence, devote themselves to research, pioneer innovative breakthroughs and commit themselves to hands-on practice. Aligned with its core talent cultivation objectives, BNUBS will continue to empower its students to realize youthful value while contributing to national strategies and socioeconomic advancement.
