The 5th Lecture of "Central Enterprise Rural Investment Fund · Rural Revitalization Lecture Hall" was Held by BNUBS

In order to make greater contributions to promoting the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside and accelerating the construction of an agricultural power, the 5th lecture of the "Beijing Normal University/Central Enterprise Rural Investment Fund · Rural Revitalization Lecture Hall", co-sponsored by Beijing Normal University and SDIC Chuangyi Industrial Fund Management Co., Ltd., undertaken by BNUBS, the China Poverty Alleviation Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, and the Center for Rural Revitalization and Development Research of Beijing Normal University, and co-organized by the Party Branch of Graduate Students in Economics and Resource Management of BNUBS, was held at Beijing Normal University on May 9, 2025. The purpose of the Rural Revitalization Lecture Hall is to invite renowned domestic experts and scholars to interpret theoretical hotspots and policy situations in the field of rural revitalization, and to build a characteristic propaganda carrier for central enterprises and university scientific research platforms to cooperate in serving national strategies.

Wan Jun,Associate Professor from BNUBS and Deputy Director of the China Poverty Alleviation Research Institute of Beijing Normal University presided over this lecture hall. The keynote speaker was Dai Xiaofeng, a second-level researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, a recipient of the Special Allowance from the State Council, and a young expert with outstanding contributions from the Ministry of Agriculture. Researcher Dai Xiaofeng has successively served as Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Director of the Institute of Food Processing and the Institute of Feed, a post scientist of the National Industrial Technology System for Chinese Medicinal Materials, and concurrently serves as a member of the Expert Committee on Food Nutrition of the State Council, a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture, a member of the Food Safety Committee of the National Health Commission, a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Central Military Commission, etc. Relevant leaders from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, relevant representatives from more than 30 central enterprises such as SDIC Chuangyi, and more than 200 teachers and student party members from BNUBS and other departments participated in this lecture.

Researcher Dai Xiaofeng delivered an academic lecture entitled "Opportunities, Challenges and Innovation Leadership in the Integrated Development of Rural Revitalization, Agricultural Power and Future Agriculture, Agriculture, Medicine, Food and Medicine", in which he deeply analyzed the new path for the integrated development of rural revitalization and future agriculture. As the former post scientist of the National Industrial Technology System for Chinese Medicinal Materials and a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Researcher Dai Xiaofeng systematically expounded the strategic direction of China's agricultural modernization transformation in combination with more than 30 years of scientific research practice. He proposed that human agriculture has gone through four revolutionary evolutions, from the picking and fishing of primitive agriculture, the farming civilization of traditional agriculture, the industrialized production of modern agriculture, and is accelerating towards the future agricultural stage with nutritional health as the essential feature. He emphasized that the implementation of rural revitalization needs to focus on three paths: industrial integration, cultural empowerment and scientific and technological countryside, develop new business forms such as central kitchens and intelligent restaurants, and protect the cultural ecology of traditional villages. Dai Xiaofeng called on the academic community to strengthen cross-disciplinary research in such fields as nutritional targeted design and intestinal microecological regulation to provide scientific and technological support for the construction of an agricultural power.

This lecture is the fifth lecture in the series of "Beijing Normal University/Central Enterprise Rural Investment Fund・Rural Revitalization Lecture Hall". Facing the future, Beijing Normal University will continue to actively use university-level scientific research platforms such as the Center for Rural Revitalization and Development Research of China and its multi-disciplinary advantages, strengthen relevant research around major national strategies, and strive to put forward more high-quality research results with theoretical, ideological and policy nature, so as to contribute wisdom and strength to promoting rural revitalization with high quality, promoting the modernization of China's agricultural and rural areas, and building an agricultural power.
