Since 1998, the Department of Management Science of NSFC has carried out performance evaluation of completed projects to track and assess the quality and level of scientific fund projects. The evaluation results are combined with follow-up funding decisions to encourage scientists to conduct high-level and responsible scientific research. This work has been standardized and institutionalized, receiving full recognition and high attention from management scientists, as well as strong support from management science researchers nationwide.

The school has always adhered to the orientation of scientific research quality, continuously improved the incentive and restraint mechanisms for scientific research evaluation, and encouraged project undertakers to complete research tasks on time and with high quality, produce more high-quality research achievements, and expand academic influence at home and abroad. The results of this performance evaluation show that the research quality and level of the School's National Natural Science Foundation projects have been further improved, laying a good foundation for subsequent project applications.
