September 5^th, 2021 was the first day of the enrollment of 2021 new students of Beijing Normal University, and the welcome work was held as scheduled in the Jingshi Square. The staff of the Youth League Committee of our School, members of the Student Union and volunteers made preparations in the early autumn breeze on the east side of the square and welcomed the freshmen with full enthusiasm.

Due to the epidemic prevention requirements of the campus, parents could not accompany the freshmen to enter the campus, so the students went through the admission procedures alone under the guidance of volunteers. The students registered, received relevant materials and then took part in fun activities, including the raffles, signing their names on the wall and taking pictures gradually under the guidance of working staff and volunteers.

Even the rain didn’t stop their work. Volunteers wore raincoats and escorted new students to dormitory buildings for registration.

The university and the school pay special attention to the welcoming of new students. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, Ge Yuliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS, and all the teachers and counselors communicated with the new students at the welcoming scene. On that day, Cheng Jianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, visited each working site to guide their work. When passing the site of our school, Secretary Cheng Jianping praised our school's creativity in designing the lucky draw session.

After noon, the new students have finished their registration. The warm sun reflected the students' expectations and dreams for the future, the smile set off the students' vigor and vitality.
