On May 10th, Mr. Hashib Ur Rahman, Chief Representative of Pakistan Askari Bank Beijing Representative Office, visited our school, accompanied by 2018 international student Ali Jan of WEC Program of our school. Associate Professor Zheng Feihu, Director of WEC Program and Teacher of the International Trade Department, together with Ms. Xie Jia, Director of Office of International Exchange and Cooperation attended the reception.

Associate Professor Zheng Feihu welcomed Mr. Hashibo and introduced the basic situation of the school to the guests. Mr. Hashib introduced the basic situation of the Askali Bank of Pakistan and the representative office in Beijing. Askari Bank, formerly known as Askari Commercial Bank, was founded on October 9, 1991 and is one of the top ten banks in Pakistan. Askari Bank is the only bank in the world run by the military, with its headquarter is in Karachi and listed on the Lahore and Islamabad stock exchanges. The Beijing Representative Office of the Bank of Askari is a liaison office in Beijing affiliated to the Embassy of Pakistan, which integrates education, commerce and trade. It is directly involved in the liaison work of universities in Pakistan during their visits to China. During this visit, Mr. Hashib hopes to establish contacts between our university and universities in Pakistan, make education and personnel training cooperation another new opportunity besides industrial cooperation in energy, transportation and infrastructure, and practice the concept of China-Pakistan "community of shared future" in a practical way.
