The First Doctoral Program of International Development Online Symposium Was Successfully Held

On April 16th, 2021, the first doctoral program of international development online symposium was successfully held. Associate Dean Cai Hongbo, Director Zheng Feihu of the English Phd Program, Director Xie Jia of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Teaching Administrator Li Liya of the English Phd Program, and four doctoral students attended the symposium online. The symposium was chaired by Zheng Feihu.

At the meeting, Mr. Zheng Feihu invited each doctoral student to introduce their personal study and academic progress, and also asked each student to talk about their feelings of online teaching. Students praised the quality of the online courses, but expressed a desire to resume offline teaching and receive face-to-face guidance from teachers. Then, the meeting launched a discussion on the doctoral students' common concerns about credits, proposal, graduation thesis, publication requirements, scholarships and other issues.

 

Doctoral Program of International Development is the first all-English doctoral program, after screening, we recruited six doctoral students from Bangladesh, Namibia, Uzbekistan, Singapore, India. Three of them are graduates of the all-English master's program of "World Economy and China". Their information are as following:
