According to the arrangement of the summer vacation research of the Curriculum Construction Research Group of the 2020 Great Discussion Forum on Education and Teaching, BNUBS held online research conferences for four high-level colleges and universities in China respectively from August 13 to 15, with the theme of "focusing on finance and fintech centering on improving classroom teaching quality".

In the morning of August 13, BNUBS investigated School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics. Wang Hui, vice dean of the School of Finance of CUFE, and Dai Wei, dean of the Department of Fintech of CUFE attended the conference. Wang introduced the cultivation of undergraduates, post graduates and Ph.D. students, with emphasis on the thought and situation of talent cultivation of fintech. Moreover, Dai gave a detailed introduction to the fintech training program and its curriculum.

In the afternoon of August 13th, BNUBS researched on the PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University (Tsinghua PBCSF). Executive associate dean of Tsinghua PBCSF and dean of Institute for Fintech Research Liao Li, associate dean Wang Zhengwei, and assistant dean and director of Master Program of Finance Liu Bibo attended the conference. Liao comprehensively introduced the programs, faculty, industry supervisors and international cooperation, etc. of Tsinghua PBCSF. Then Wang and Liu introduced many aspects including the educational philosophy, source of students, training process and students’ choices after graduation and construction of research center in detail.

On August 14, BNUBS investigated School of Economics and Management, Beihang University, or Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA). Associate dean Qin Zhongfeng, chair of the Department of Finance Zhao Shangmei, vice chair of the Department of Finance Zhang Junhuan, the director of Research Center of Financial Big Data and Financial Engineering Li Ping and the teaching secretary of undergraduate Zhu Wei attended the conference. Qin introduced the training mode of students in large category, training objectives and curriculum of BUAA. Zhao introduced in detail the personnel training of financial undergraduates and financial master's cultivation. Zhang Junhuan introduced the faculty of finance. Li Ping talked in detail about the construction of the financial Big data and Financial Engineering Research Center and the platform of the Economic and Business Research Institute. Zhu Wei introduced the specific challenges and difficulties encountered in the training.

On August 15, BNUBS investigated School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. Zhu Yujie, academic director of academic affairs office in Tsinghua University, Yang Fan, deputy director of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, and Ma Yuchun, director of undergraduate teaching affairs of Department of Computer Science and Technology, attended the meeting. Zhu introduced the talent cultivation objectives and characteristics of Tsinghua SEM, the general information of the computer science and finance double degree, the key points of construction of new major, and the design idea of the training scheme. Ma explained the curriculum provision and integration and credits called by the Program in details.

In these meetings, BNUBS had an in-deep discussion and sharing on talent training, specialty setting and development, the specialty cultivation program, curriculum, teaching staff, internship and practice for students and student development with the four schools. President of BNUBS Qi Yudong, associate dean Zhang Pingdan, Cui Xuegang and Cai Hongbo, dean of Department of Finance Hu Haifeng, dean of Department of Accounting Wu Qinhong, dean of Department of Huamn Resources Management Chen Yan, vice director of MBA Center Li Jing, as well as Hu Songming, Wu Yanran, Sun Yunchuan, Li Kun, Hu Conghui from the Department of Finance, Li Yuxiao from the Department of Accounting, and the teaching affair secretaries Li Yingshu, Zou Rui, Su Xiaoyuan, Xu Xing and Yang Haijia took part in the meetings. Jiang Jie, the director of Financial Science and Technology Project, presided over the meetings.
