In order to further strengthen young teachers' moral education, strengthen their basic teaching skills, and enhance their teaching research level and teaching practice ability, in the afternoon of December 10^th, the 17^th Preliminary Competition of Basic Teaching Skills of Young Teachers was held in the conference room 1722 in the Rear Main Building. Sun Zhijun, Secretary of Party Committee; Ge Yuliang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee; Zhang Pingdan, Associate Dean of BNUBS; Lu Yuexiang, President of the Trade Union attended the competition. Former winners Jiang Jie and Associate Professor Li Kun attended and acted as judges. Young teachers Cao Siwei, Hu Conghui, Liu Pan, Wang Yan, Xu Minbo and Zhu Mengbing took part in the competition.

Mr. Lu Yuexiang, President of the Trade Union, first made a brief introduction to the requirements of the competition. The competition took the form of on-site teaching demonstration, with each teacher giving a 2-minute teaching plan introduction and a 15-minute teaching demonstration. The participating teachers treated seriously and prepared carefully. In the process, they showed good spirit and solid professional foundation. All the teachers have selected exquisite materials with moderate difficulty, and displayed distinct style, clear logic, calm teaching attitude and vivid language using, which fully demonstrated the elegant demeanor of the young teachers of the college. Judges and teachers made comprehensive and detailed comments from the aspects of problem introduction, interaction design, time arrangement, case selection, language expression, courseware presentation, blackboard writing, practical significance, curriculum ideology and politics, and put forward relevant suggestions. Through on-site guidance and experience sharing, the participating teachers and other participants benefited a lot.

This competition set up a platform for young teachers to show themselves and learn and exchange, which further enhanced their sense of responsibility in teaching and improved their teaching level. I wish BNUBS a great success in the competition!
