On the evening of October 23, professor Wang Lan, co-founder of blockchain factory, was the guest speaker of the “Digital Economy and Management Frontier” lecture series. Wang expressed his views and opinions on the topic of “Blockchain Principle and Business Application”. The lecture was presided by Jiang Jie, teacher from the Department of Finance of BNUBS. More than 100 teachers and students listened to the lecture on the site and Internet, and their questions were enthusiastically responded.

Wang, author of the theory of Transformation and Entrepreneurship, professor level senior engineer, high-tech project evaluation expert of the Ministry of Science and Technology, professor of Business School of Liaoning University, chairman of Starter Technology Co., Ltd. and founding partner of blockchain workshop. His research enterprise transformation and business model innovation, mainly engaged in investment incubation business, and has successful invested and incubated a number of mobile Internet/ AI/ blockchain enterprises. He has served as deputy general manager of state-owned Shenhua Shendong Coal Group and deputy general manager of private enterprise Zhongke E-commerce Valley Investment Company.

Speaker's point of view

Wang shared the mission of blockchain, the challenges it faces and the industrial application of blockchain. First, Wang discussed the mission of blockchain from a digital perspective. Starting from the economic history of the digital world, he pointed out that the essence of the digital rights revolution is the recognition of the possession, acquisition and use of digital rights, and provides efficiency guarantee for the above behaviors. The significance of the digital rights revolution lies in encouraging the value creation of native data, laying the foundation for the digitization of entity rights, and protecting the privacy of individual data. In order to ensure efficiency and privacy, the application of blockchain technology is to ensure the completeness of decentralization.

Next, Wang mentioned that technology and scene are two inevitable problems in application development. Blockchain has obvious technical advantages such as openness, freedom, completeness and etc., but its problem of operating efficiency and convenience are prominent. Finally, as for the industrial application of blockchain, Wang mentioned that blockchain has great potential in the field of industrial Internet, such as machine interconnection, man-machine interconnection and ecological interconnection. The scenes of blockchain transformation mainly involve the integration between enterprises and large-scale distribution.
