The Department of Accounting Organized Enrollment Specialty Education for Freshman and Work Conference for the New Semester

On the morning of September 11th, 2020, the Accounting Department held an enrollment specialty education for freshman and work conference for the new semester of Grade 2020 in Room 1722, the Rear Main Building of the university. All the teachers of the Accounting Department attended the conference.

 

The enrollment specialty education for freshman is a tradition of Accounting Department, which aims to help freshmen get familiar with university life, understand important information of accounting major, and enhance students' sense of belonging to Accounting Department. First of all, All the faculty members introduced themselves to the new students, and told everyone some matters needing attention. Then, Wu Qinhong, director of department, introduced the Accounting Department's development history, teachers, career development after graduation and other information, so as to enhance students' understanding of Accounting Department. Later, Ms. Wu explained in depth the important matters in the learning process of accounting major, including training program, learning plan, scientific research training program, practical activity program, overseas visiting study program of Sun Education Fund for accounting undergraduates, and other training programs of the school. At last, every teacher in the Accounting Department introduced the courses he or she taught and some useful learning and life experience. After the conference, freshmen said that they have benefited a lot and were deeply impressed by the harmonious humanistic environment of Accounting Department.

 

After that, the Accounting Department held a new semester work conference. Director Wu Qinhong presided over the meeting. In the new semester, the work will focus on the important responsibilities, such as strengthening the teaching of teachers' courses, self-assessment of teachers' ethics and professional skills training. Besides, the education and training plan for the second degree students in Zhuhai Campus, the MPACC initiation plan, the comprehensive reform exploration for the undergraduate in accounting major, and the plan for recruiting new teachers in the Accounting Department were also added. Every teacher in the department expressed his or her own opinions on these matters, and offered suggestions and insights for the steady promotion of the work of the Accounting Department in the new semester and the development of the School.
