Opening Meeting of a Major Project Supported by the NSSFC, was Held Successfully

On August 29th, 2020, the online opening meeting of the Research on the Influence Imposed on the Internationalization of Chinese Enterprises by the Overseas Spreading of Chinese Culture Under the Context of the Belt and Road Initiative, a major project led by Professor Qu Ruxiao and supported by the National Social Science Fund of China since 2019, was held successfully. Professor Qu Ruxiao is the leading expert of School of Economics and Business Administration, Beijing Normal University.

 

Members of the panel for the opening meeting included Researcher Zhang Yuyan, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Institute of World Politics and Economics, Professor Lai Desheng, deputy director of the Department of Research on Social and Ecological Civilization, Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance), Professor Li Huailiang, dean of the Institute of Community with a Shared Future for Mankind, Communication University of China, Professor Qi Yudong, dean of the School of Economics and Business Administration, Beijing Normal University, Professor Tang Yihong, University of International Business and Economics and Professor Zhang Hong, School of Economics, Shandong University. The meeting was chaired by professor Qu Ruxiao, leading expert of the project. Yang Xiu, an associate researcher of Chinese Center for Science and Technology Exchange, who is in charge of the sub-project, on behalf of the research group, made a specific report to the panel on the research background and significance,the way of thinking, research framework, research content and other contents of the project.

 

After hearing the report, the panel agreed that under the Belt and Road Initiative, the research focused on the internationalization of Chinese enterprises from the perspective of overseas cultural communication, which had important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the Belt and Road Initiative towards high-quality development and constructing a new pattern of all-round opening up in the new era. The overall design, logical structure and research methods of the project were rigorous and feasible. The research team was well structured, had strong research strength, and fully prepared, so it had the ability and conditions to complete the research task of the project.On the in-depth demonstration, the panel gave constructive suggestions on the key points and difficulties of the project. It pointed out that the research of the project should comply with the realities of both domestic and international development, put the Belt and Road Initiative in a broader background, and engage in in-depth research while planning on the long-term and correspond with the new situation and new requirements of China’s opening up in the"14th Five-year Plan" period and carry out in-depth research.

 

Finally, based on the speeches of the experts, Professor Qu Ruxiao pointed out that the suggestions of the experts have clarified the direction of the research and made the content of the research more focused, which had important guiding significance for the smooth implementation of the research.The research group would earnestlyabsorb the valuable opinions of the panel, do a good job in formulating the research plan, focus on the research objectives, give full play to the advantages of multi-disciplinary research, carry out relatedin-depth research, strengthen the concise results, serve the major national decision-making, and complete the research task of the project with high quality and efficiency.

 

More than 30 people participated in the opening meeting, which included those who were in charge of the sub-subjects and members of the research group as well as some teachers and students of the school of Economics and Business Administration, Beijing Normal University.
