The 2019 Work Exchange Conference of MBA Training Institutions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region Was Held at BNU

The 2019 work exchange conference of MBA training institutions in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, sponsored by the secretariat of the national steering committee for graduate education in business administration and hosted by BNUBS, was held at in Dec. 6.

Wang Shoujun, vice president of BNU, Yi Zhihong, former vice president of Renmin University of China and vice chairman of MBA education committee, Chen Chunhua, dean of Beijing International MBA at Peking University, and Qi Yudong, dean of BNUBS attended the meeting. The morning meeting was presided over by Wang Ping, director of the office of the secretariat of the MBA education steering committee.

Wang Shoujun introduced BNU to the guests and explained what responsibilities university should shoulder for the school of management and MBA program development from the perspective of the university.

Yi Zhihong delivered a keynote speech on the challenges of Chinese business schools in the digital economy era. She analyzed the direction of the reform of Chinese business schools from the background of rapid changes in the digital economy and society starting from "what we want to do, what we can do and what we can do".

Professor Chen Chunhua shared the self-change keynote speech on management education. She believed that in the era of digital economy, business education in China should abandon the logic of the original knowledge system, keep close to the forefront of social and economic development, break the boundaries of training objectives, education content, education model and faculty, and realize self-transformation of management education.

Professor Qi Yudong believed that the era of digital economy has overturned the law of traditional economic development and brought a lot of new propositions to the study of management education. Chinese business schools should focus on studying the new law of enterprises in the development of digital economy and further promote the new development of management education.

The afternoon meeting was chaired by Zhang Banan, vice dean of BNUBS. Lu Rongjie, dean of the School of Economics and Management of Hebei University of Technology, Qin Zhongfeng, deputy dean of the School of Economics and Management of Beihang University, Cui Yongmei, deputy dean of the School of Economics and Management of Beijing Jiaotong University, and Yao Qiang, assistant director of the finance MBA program of Cheung Kong Business School, briefed the participants on the development of their universities’ programs respectively. The four teachers, each with their own emphasis, shared with the participants from the aspects of case development and teaching, project characteristics and talent training, mechanism and path of high-quality development, project innovation and exploration, etc. Then participants asked questions to these guests or other representatives centered on the shared content and discussed the development of the MBA program.
