Sun Zhijun Meets Deans from University of Szeged

On November 3rd, 2019, Peter Kovacs, dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, University of Szeged(hereinafter referred to as FEBAUS), Marta Gorog, dean of the Faculty of Law,University of Szeged (hereinafter referred to as FLUS)and Richard Mohr, dean of Confucius Institute visited the BNUBS with Liu Min, deputy director of international affairs and Yu Xiaoyu, liaison specialist accompanied. Chairperson Sun Zhijun and Xie Jia, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office met with the guests.

 

Sun welcomed the visit of the three deans and introduced the basic information of BNUBS, especially the exchange of teachers and students with Hungarian academic institutions and European universities in recent years. Later, Kovacs introduced FEBAUS. He highlighted the China education center of Szeged University, which is jointly established by FEBAUS, FLUS and the Confucius Institute. He pointed out that the main function of the center is to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between Szeged University and the top universities in China and our teachers and students are welcomed to have a visit and exchange.

Szeged University has 7,000 faculty, among which there are 2,500 teachers and researchers, and nearly 22,000 students. The university has invested heavily in scientific research projects in a wide range of research fields and achieved important research results in the international arena. The university has established partnerships with 442 partner institutions in 31 countries. With the support of the national bank of Hungary, Szeged University has set up the China education center with the purpose of offering language preparatory courses to students who come to Hungary for undergraduate courses;developing distinctive training programs for Chinese students at all levels covering subjects such as business, sociology, law, medicine, pharmacy, music and art;strengthening academic exchanges and welcoming Chinese teachers to teach at the center. Szeged University is located in Szeged,which is the city with the longest sunshine in Hungary and is known as the city of sunshine. As a sister city of Cambridge, Szeged is also known as the Cambridge of central Europe.
