To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 117th anniversary of the founding of Beijing Normal University and the 35th Teacher’s Day, the Alumni Association held the BNU Alumni Festival from 7th to 8th, September. The Alumni Association organized many activities, such as Zhongminhuading Cup Alumni Badminton Friendly Competition, the First Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity (hereinafter referred as the “Triple Initiative”) Alumni Forum of BNU, Fitness Walking, the Married Campus Couples Back Alma Mater and Parent-child Fun Games. Those activities not only promote a close relationship between alumni and Alma mater, but also strengthen the effective communication among alumni.

 

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Business School. In the spirit of “friendship and experience come first, competition second”, BNUBS alumni actively participated in various activities, which fully demonstrated their love for BNU and BNUBS.

 

On September 7th, the Zhongminhuading Cup Alumni Badminton Friendly Competition was held in Qiujiduan Stadium. The BNUBS alumni were full of passionate and harmonious on the field. They cheered for each other, making the competition feisty.

On September 8th, "Triple Initiative" Alumni Forum was held in Jingshixuetang. Zhou Zuoyu, the Vice Principal of BNU, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. As a special guest, Yang Yi, from the Class of 1999 at BNUBS, now the Executive Director of Beijing TT Aviation Technology Co., Led., introduced the development and status quo of the company as well as the development and innovation of the business and products, on the topic of “Exploring the industrial grade unmanned aerial vehicle and training system of TTA”. She also signed the Co-construction Agreement of Internship with head of the Provost’s office and Academic Affairs.

On September 8th, Beijing Normal University invited all of its alumni around the world to have a fitness walking, hoping that they can keep health via walking, and in this way to extend their best wishes to our mother land and Alma mater. Nearly 300 students, teachers and alumni took part in this event. They were excited and ready to go. Under the command of Chen Guangju, the vice chairman of the Alumni Association, the Fitness Walking started. Ge Yuliang, deputy party secretary BNUBS and vice chairman of the Alumni of BNUBS, participated in the Fitness Walking.

On September 8th, the "Reminisce" --the Married Campus Couples Back Alma Mater was held in the Yingdong Academic Hall. These campus couples are rooted in Beijing Normal University and lives everywhere around the world. BNU witnessed their acquaintance and their love. The Alumni Association issued love certificates and gave out mooncakes with school badge inscribed on them to these couples. The couples exchanged their love rings and made declarations of love, and reminisced the best years on campus.

On September 8th, "Look back at Youth with Family" Parent-child Fun Games, was held in Qiujiduan Stadium. Before the Games started, the parents and children completed the warm-up dance “Grass Dace”. The Games were various, including “big foot carry the small”, “two people three feet” and “ball transport”. After that, parents and children painted on the canvas. All the games were experience-oriented. It made the parents and children more intimated through these activities collaborated by them, which have enhanced the children’s collaborative ability at the same time.
