From November 2 to 4, 2018, the “2018 China Education Economics Annual Conference (CEEAC)” was successfully held by the Education Economics Branch (EEB) of the China Education Society (CES) and undertaken by BNU Capital Institute for Economics of Education and Educational Economics Institute of Faculty of Education, BNU. The theme of this year’s annual conference is “Education Development and Economic Development: Retrospect and Prospect of the 40 Years of Reform and Opening up”. Wang Shoujun, Vice President of BNU attended the conference and delivered a speech. More than 300 experts, scholars and graduate students from 25 provinces and cities, 96 universities and scientific research institutions engaged in educational economic theory and educational economic practice reform attended the conference, including Wang Shanmai, professor of BNUBS and honorary chairman of EEB, Lai Desheng, Dean of BNUBS, Sun Zhijun, secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS and over ten teachers and students of BNUBS. Other leaders, guests and speakers included: Zhang Dongyan, Deputy Secretary General of CES, Lv Dongwei, Director of the Department of Finance, Ministry of Education, Du Yuhong, Chief Accountant of BNU and Director of EEB, Chen Xiaoyu, Dean of Education School of Peking University and executive vice president of EEB and Wu Haiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central South University and vice chairman of EEB.

On the morning of November 3, the opening ceremony of the conference, presided over by Chen Xiaoyu, Dean of Education School of PKU, kicked off. Wang Shoujun, Vice President of BNU, Lv Dongwei, Director of the Department of Finance, Ministry of Education, Zhang Dongyan, Deputy Secretary General of the CES, professor Wang Shanmai, honorary chairman of EEB and Du Yuhong, Director of EEB delivered speeches successively. More than 180 academic papers were received and after the careful selection by experts from EEB, 49 scholars were finally confirmed for reports in eight sessions on the afternoon of November. On November 4, the closing ceremony of the conference was presided over by Sun Zhijun, secretary of the Party Committee of BNUBS. Director Du Yuhong summarized the academic feast, and the 2018 CEEAC ended successfully!
