In recent years, BNUBS has oriented its research toward major national strategic needs and continuously advanced organized research. As 2026 marks the starting year of the 15th Five‑Year Plan, Professor Jiao Hao was awarded an NSFC Key Project. This achievement reflects the steady optimization of the School’s research administration system and the continuous improvement of faculty research capacity. Titled Governance System Restructuring: How Artificial Intelligence Empowers Innovation in Private Enterprises, this Key Project centers on private enterprises, the mainstay of scientific and technological as well as industrial innovation. Its core objective is to construct an analytical framework for governance‑system restructuring whereby AI technologies empower private‑enterprise innovation in the intelligent‑economy era. The research transcends the narrow perspective of AI merely as a tool for technical adoption and efficiency gains. Instead, it investigates governance‑system reconstruction jointly driven by human‑AI collaboration, value alignment and cross‑ecosystem reuse. It aims to provide theoretical support for private enterprises to sustain AI‑enabled innovation and achieve long‑term growth amid the intelligent‑economy transformation.

To foster high‑quality research and innovation, BNUBS has strengthened organizational support for NSFC proposal preparation over recent years. Targeting practical bottlenecks hindering young faculty members’ research progress, the School has introduced tailored policy measures and built multi‑level platforms for research seminars and exchanges. These initiatives comprehensively address difficulties confronting young researchers, support steady improvement in their scholarly competence, and facilitate their career advancement. Looking ahead, BNUBS will keep exploring innovative pathways for disciplinary development and research advancement. It will cultivate a research ecosystem that encourages originality and dedicated scholarship, fully mobilize faculty enthusiasm for scientific inquiry, and strive to elevate the School’s overall research performance to new heights.
