BNU Business School successfully holds the National Outstanding Students Summer Camp 2016

In order to attract nationwide outstanding students to continue further study in BNU Business School, the School held“The Third National Outstanding Students Summer Camp2016” from July 6^thto July 8^th, 2016.

The Summer Camp offered 10 majors for students to apply, including Finance, International Trade, Labor Economics, World Economy, Political Economics, Western Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Educational Economics and Management. More than 900 students applied online. After selection and recommendation, 107 students from Jilin University, Shandong University, Hunan University, Sichuan University, Xiamen University, Sun Yat-sen University, Lanzhou University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University and other universities attended the Summer Camp.

The Summer Camp lasted three days. The opening ceremony was held on July 7^th in Jingshi building, Dean Lai Desheng, Chairman of the Academic Committee Li Shi, Deputy Dean Cui Xuegang, Deputy Dean Zhang Pingdan, Head Luo Chuliang, Hu Haifeng, Jiao Hao, Su Song and some faculties attended the opening ceremony, which is presided by Cui Xuegang.

Dean Lai Desheng addressed that, rooted in strong academic atmosphere and glorious history of BNU, BNU Business School is one of the Schoolsthat have largest scale of students and also is one of the Schools which achieve highest level of internationalization. It’s very worthy of spending the next three years in BNU Business School for all Summer Camp students.

Chairman of the Academic Committee Li Shi pointed out that the comprehensive academic atmosphere of BNU can provide numerous opportunities for graduate students to conduct academic research, and our facultiespossess characteristics of normal universities, paying more attention to students’ humanistic quality and develop their scientific research ability.

Deputy Dean Zhang Pingdan introduced the basic situation of the School, and highlighted the School’s competitive advantagesfrom several aspects, such as discipline construction, faculty team, scientific research and international exchanges. Zhang also expressed his hope for all students, cherish their short time here and actively learn from each other.

Finally, professor Hu Haifeng, Jiao Hao, Xing Chunbing, Cai Hongbo, Chen Jidong, Tong Luqiong made keynote lectures for students.

In the afternoon of July 7^th, the School organized a brief introduction on disciplines, in which the faculties answered questions for students about their interested issues, such as faculty quality, cultivation positioning, employment and further education etc. After that, all the students visited BNU History Museum.

In the morningof July 8^th, all the students participating the summer camp had interviews.By self-introduction, English test, presentation of academic papers, they sufficiently communicated with faculties. In the afternoon, the students accepted a comprehensive test.
