2026 BNUBS MBA Unveiled Strategic Upgrading of Training System and Officially Launched "π Plan"

On May 17, 2025, BNUBS successfully held the "2026 BNUBS MBA Training System Upgrading Release and 'π Plan' Launch Conference".

The event aimed to unveil the comprehensive upgrading plan for BNU's MBA training system and officially launch the "π Plan", gathering industry elites and academic leaders to discuss the cultivation and development of business talents in the digital-intelligent era.

Strategic Upgrading: Building a "Trinity" Training System

In his opening address, Professor Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, comprehensively introduced the upgrading background and mission of BNUBS' MBA training system. He emphasized that the School has always adhered to the mission of "Promoting business and culture to serve the nation and the world by creating knowledge and developing talents", committing to cultivating management talents with humanistic heritage and social responsibility. Facing the wave of digital-intelligence, the MBA program takes "DUTY" as its core, constructing a "theory + technology + scenario" trinity training model, and striving to nurture composite managers with cross-border integration capabilities, enabling every student to become an "innovation leader" driving industrial transformation. He also elaborated on the School's "school-enterprise collaborative business talent cultivation model based on commercial scenarios" and proposed three action paths for school-enterprise collaboration: deepening industry-education integration through a dual-tutor system, reconstructing capability training via scenario-based teaching, and building a lifelong learning ecosystem. Finally, Professor Qi Yudong passionately envisioned the School's future direction of proactively leading talent cultivation and industrial transformation, encouraging everyone to join hands in creating a fertile ground for fostering future business leaders.

Professor Zhou first introduced the new training system of BNU MBA constructed based on four dimensions: Discipline, Understanding, Technology, and Yield, taking the initials of these dimensions as "DUTY"—the core philosophy of BNU MBA education. "DUTY" implies "responsibility", reflecting both the faculty's commitment to educating with dedication and the students' pursuit of excellence.

In terms of talent cultivation goals, BNUBS' MBA program aims to nurture comprehensive management elites with keen business thinking, forward-looking technological insight, and profound humanistic heritage, whose core values will run through multiple dimensions of personal development, organizational needs, and social progress.

In terms of professional directions, the BNUBS MBA program has comprehensively sorted out the curriculum systems of six characteristic directions—Digital Enterprise Management, Human Resource Management and Applied Psychology, Education Operation Management, Business Analysis and Consulting, Finance and Accounting, and Cultural Creative Industry Management—from the dimensions of direction characteristics, capability improvement, and career docking, constructing a three-dimensional, progressive, and interconnected training system.

The program has comprehensively promoted digital-intelligent upgrading, running digital-intelligent modules through the six professional directions, and launching digital-intelligent frontier course packages deeply integrated with each direction, such as Digital Operation Management and Digital-Intelligent Technology and Educational Innovation. Meanwhile, it attaches great importance to students' humanistic literacy, launching psychology course packages covering social psychology, positive psychology, emotion and stress management, etc., based on existing humanities courses, to enhance students' soft power in the digital-intelligent era. It also consolidates the "practice module", improving a comprehensive training system focusing on enterprise practice, professional competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship, and second extra-curricular activities, forming an effective practical teaching management mechanism.

Finally, the conference highlighted the "π Plan" designed to cultivate cross-border management elites. Aiming to nurture MBA young talents with excellent leadership and innovative spirit, the Plan will select "Excellent π Youth" and "Outstanding π Youth" through a series of cultivation and selection mechanisms, offering valuable opportunities such as scholarships, exclusive lectures, visits to leading enterprises, and face-to-face exchanges with industry leaders.

Roundtable Forum: School-Enterprise Co-Cultivation of Talents, Building a New Paradigm of Industry-Education Integration

The "Inspiring Business Excellence, Integrating Digital Intelligence with Humanistic Insight" roundtable forum was hosted by Li Xue, a 2024 BNU MBA student and host of Beijing Radio and Television Station. The forum specially invited four industry elites: Liu Shu, Head of Campus Business at Douyin Group; Qian Wei, Chief Analyst of Overseas Economics and Major Assets at CSC Financial Co., Ltd.; Zhang Hongjiao, Director of Educational Public Affairs at iFLYTEK Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Xuefeng, a senior expert in the IT industry and former Director of Solution Architecture at Oracle. Focusing on two major topics—"Industrial Development and Talent Growth in the Digital-Intelligent Era" and "School-Enterprise Collaborative Business Talent Cultivation Model Based on Commercial Scenarios"—the guests shared their insights and experiences, providing valuable ideas for business talent cultivation.

After the roundtable forum, the event entered the professional direction salon session, where teachers, industry experts, π Youth Officers, and 2026 prospective candidates from different professional directions had in-depth exchanges and discussions.

With the successful conclusion of all agendas, the "2026 BNUBS MBA Training System Upgrading Release and 'π Plan' Launch Conference" drew a perfect end.

This event not only demonstrated the achievements and determination of BNUBS in MBA education innovation but also injected new vitality into the cultivation and development of business talents in the digital-intelligent era. In the future, adhering to the School motto of "Promoting business and culture to serve the nation and the world by creating knowledge and developing talents", the School will make unremitting efforts to cultivate more outstanding business talents.
