LSE visited our school of political and economics, its High-end Study Tour Program director, Mr. Yury Bikbaev, visited our school. Lai Desheng (Dean), Di Chengfeng (Assitant to dean, Deputy director of the MBA center), and Xie Jia (Director of foreign affairs) received the visitors.

Lai showed a warm welcome to Mr. Bikbaev’s visit, and he mad a brief introduction respectively to our school and college. Lai said that, at present, it is an important stage to promote our school’s internationalized process, we were making a lot of efforts to develop cooperative relations with Europe and America’s top universities from  various aspects. And Lai also showed that we hoped that our school would have substantive progress in cooperation with LSE, making our students experience the high quality teaching resources and the rigorous academic atmosphere of LSE. Then, Mr. Bikbaev introduced the Study Tour Program detailedly, and showed that he would try to promote the cooperation between LSE and our school.

Since 1895, created by the Webbs, the famous British social theorists and activists, LSE has enjoyed high reputation and extensive global influence for outstanding academic accomplishments. Now LSE has became one of the most important Social Sciences Universities in the world, and it is equally famous with Harvard University, the university of California, Berkeley, and Stanford university. LSE is a junior college, whose resarch and teaching cover all aspects of social science, from the economy, legislation, and politics to sociology, anthropology, accounting and finance. From 1925 to 2010, LSE has had 16 Nobel Prize winner in economy, peace and literature, what’s more, 34 current or past world leaders have studied or taught in LSE.
