The University of Aberdeen business school visited our school

On May 6th, 2013, Dr. Harminder Battuthe, the director of the University of Aberdeen business school International Office, visited our school with his colleague. Qu Ruxiao (Deputy dean), Xing Chunbing(Chairman of the Economics Department), Tong Luqiong(Teacher of the Marketing department) and Xie Jia (Director of foreign affairs) received the visitors.

The exchange visits between our school and University of Aberdeen began in 2012. At the invitation of China- Scotland education network, Dean Lai attended the series of activities named “China - Scotland dialogue under global perspective”, which was held in November 2012 in Scotland. And he was invited to visit University of Aberdeen and he made a speech named “Entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial practice in China”. Afterwards, Dr. Battu visited our school on behave of their university at the end of the same year. On the basis of both sides meet many times, this meeting focused on the exchange program of undergraduates between the two schools, scientific research cooperation and teachers’ short-term exchange visits,etc. And they planned to send  the first group of students to each other in September, 2014.

The quality of teaching and research at this university is world-famous, and it has five Nobel Prize winners. University of Aberdeen locates in the east coast of Scotland where has pleasant scenery, 500-year history of the ancient building groups are still in use, and has been a scenic spot in Scotland.

In 1495, the University of Aberdeen was founded in Aberdeen in Scotland, which is a famous education and research center. This university is one of the four ancient Scottish universities which was created in the Middle Ages, and it is the fifth longest school age of university in all England. It has nearly 14000 students.
