Dr. Fabian Jintae Froese is senior/associate editor of International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Cross-Cultural and Strategic Management, and German Journal of Human Resource Management. His areas of expertise are in human resource management and international management, more specifically: expatriation, diversity, virtual work, and artificial intelligence, with regional expertise in Asia and Europe. His research has been published in leading scientific journals such as Academy of Management Learning & Education, Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of World Business and in practitioner journals such as Harvard Business Review.

摘要:Recent mega trends such as digitalization and global health crisis have changed the nature of work. Job changes, augmentation, and replacement are possible consequences. This presentation will provide an overview of what organizations and workers need to know about changes in work due to technological advancements, (de)globalization, and demographic changes. Reviewing the extant literature and referring to some practical examples, I will discuss the implications for global mobility, virtual work, digital human resource management, and diversity management. For each of the four areas, I will also provide some examples from my recently published papers and discuss challenges during the publication process. I will offer some strategies for students/professionals to succeed in such an environment.
