May I remind you of an important conference in Hanoi, January 5-8, 2010. I believe I have already made you aware of it, and now I would like to invite you once again.

The conference will be hosted by the National Economics University in Hanoi - a long term partner of ours. We, John Kuada and myself together with US/Canadian colleagues are organising the academic side.

The theme is a challenging one: "Beyond Global Markets". Not that we expect everybody to speculate on what is to come, but for everyone to take a look at the globalisation process and what it means to various stakeholders. And hopefully, we can also use these foundations and the approach used to the study the global processes to come up with some answers to the question embedded in the theme.

I am very happy that the conference takes place in Asia in the midst of global dynamics. It would be good to have a dialogue among colleagues from both Asia, Europe, US, Africa etc to try to see the globalisation from various angles.

I am writing to colleagues whom we know from previous collaboration. My main aim is to ask you to come and contribute. But I also hope you will talk to others and convince them to come.

Please, let me have your "yes" to come and contribute to this important theme as soon as possible and your suggestions to a title/abstract of your paper. Also, if you have sub-theme suggestions. let me know.
