There are twenty two full-time faculty members in the Department of Economics. The major teaching and research fields of this department include Political Economy, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Labor Economics, Economics of Education, and Chinese Economic Reform and Development. The Department of Economics is a top department in China in the research of Political Economy, Labor Economics, Economics of Education and related fields. It cooperates extensively with foreign colleges, universities and research institutes. The undergraduate program in Economics is authorized by the Ministry of Education as a site for experimental programs to develop the future of pedagogy in this discipline.
