The World Economy and China--English Taught Master's Program
Introduction
The English-taught Master's program in The World Economy and China at BNU Business School is for prospective students from all backgrounds who are interested in economics and China’s economy.
The WEC program is unique in its focus on teaching fundamantal ideas about China’s society, economy and culture. We aim to provide students with professional training in modern economics, including quantitative tools and techniques as well as theoretical and policy analysis. Students then have the opportunity to apply these skills through conducting supervised research. This creates a stimulating, research-led environment where students work alongside leading researchers to develop the skills required to fulfill their aspirations to become professional economists, conduct further research as PhD students, or become analysts in other areas. Students are preferred, but are not required, to possess a background in economics and management from their undergraduate studies.
The WEC program is a two-year program with four semesters. In the first two semesters, students take full-time coursework; in the last two semesters, there is a combination of courses and guided research focused on the graduate thesis.
