English Salon:“Uncle Hanzi” Interpreted Sino-US Cultural Differences and Origin of Chinese Characters in the Evening of April 28
At 18:30pm on April 28, the MBA Center invited Richard Sears (Uncle Hanzi), 2013 Newsmaker of “Touching the Heart of BNU”, to hold English Salon with students in Room 9408 of Jingshi Hotel.
Richard Sears, an American man born in 1950,is the founder of “Chinese Etymology”. He spent 20 years to collect characters including oracle bone inscriptions, inscriptions on bronze objects, small seal script and so on to put online, users can check these characters by inputting Chinese characters, making Chinese surfers deeply touched. Therefore, they called him “Uncle Hanzi”.
