Description: Publication in high quality international journals is an important objective of academic research. As an increasingly influential emerging economy, China is attracting the attention of academics, practitioners, and policy makers around the world. However, academic research is highly competitive, especially given the vast number of researchers currently focusing on China. What do high quality international journals look for in studies of accounting, finance, and other business issues in China? What approach should academic researchers of these issues in China pursue to increase their chance of publishing in high quality international academic journal? These are important issues to Chinese academics that will be discussed in this seminar.
Biography （个人简介）:Dr. Edward Lee is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK. He received his PhD from the University of Manchester, UK. His research interests focuses on the interrelationship between corporate information disclosure, regulatory reforms, and the efficiency of the capital market. He serves as an Associate Editor of Accounting and Business Research and Special Issue Guest Co-Editor for European Journal of Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Small Business Journal, and Journal of Business Ethics. His papers have been published in high quality international journals such as Accounting and Business Research, British Accounting Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review, European Financial Management, European Journal of Finance, International Journal of Accounting, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting Research.
