Tavis Barr is a labor economist whose research focus has included inequality, social network segregation, the influence of labor markets on economic growth, and informal sector work.  He currently teaches in the Sustainability Management program at Columbia University.  He has also taught at Long Island University, Addis Ababa University, and Makerere University, where he was a Fulbright scholar.  He holds a PhD in Economics from Columbia University.
