课程说明：课程时间为每周周一晚6：30（9月28日为第一次课程），总共包括九次课程，其中10月5日的课程因为国庆假期取消，但这次课程会在其它时间补上。本课程关注于和中国直接相关的专题，它包括了与此相关的理论、研究动机和前沿文献，使得学生能够处于相关研究前沿。
John Knight is Emeritus Professor of Economics, University of Oxford, and Emeritus Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He has been Director of the Institute of Economics and Statistics and Head of the Department of Economics in Oxford, and has served as a consultant or advisor to the World Bank, UNDP, UK Department for International Development, Chinese Ministry of Labour, etc. He chairs the editorial board of the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics. His current research is on economic growth and on subjective well-being, both in relation to China. His most recent book (with Lina Song), Towards a Labour Market in China, OUP 2005, received the Richard A. Lester Prize, awarded at Princeton University, for ‘the outstanding book in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations published in 2005’.
