Klaus F. Zimmermann教授生于1952年，是欧洲著名的劳动经济学家，现任德国国家经济研究所所长、德国劳动经济研究所所长，德国波恩大学经济学系教授，兼任德国福瑞大学和中国人民大学荣誉教授，他同时也是欧盟委员会主席顾问。

他的研究领域集中在劳动经济学、人口经济学、迁移、失业、工会组织以及计量经济学等领域。已出版33本著作以及170余篇论文，这些成果曾被《美国经济评论》、《计量经济学》《经济与统计研究》、《应用经济学》、《人口经济学》等国际权威学术期刊刊载。其研究成果在欧美和世界范围内产生了重要的影响。

Born in 1952. Since 1998 Full Professor of Economics at Bonn University and Director of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA Bonn). President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin, since 2000), Honorary Professor of Economics at the Free University of Berlin (since 2001), and Honorary Professor at the Renmin University of Peking (since December 2006). He is also the advisor to the President of the EU Commission

Special research interests: Labor economics, population economics, migration, industrial organization, econometrics.

Publications: Author or editor of 33 books and over 180 papers in refereed journals and collected volumes, among others: American Economic Review, Econometrica, Review of Economics and Statistics, Applied Economics, Journal of Population Economics.
