The Students of BNUBS Went to Cambridge University in the Winter Vacation to Carry Out "Artificial Intelligence: Digital Economy and Innovation" Research Activities

In the winter vacation of 2024, students from BNUBS went to the University of Cambridge to conduct international research activities with the theme of "Artificial Intelligence: Digital Economy and Innovation". This research activity aims to strengthen students' study of business management theory, guide students to grasp the development context of innovation and entrepreneurship in the business field, understand the essence of business innovation and entrepreneurship, understand the business management mode under different cultural backgrounds, and improve the ability of international exchange and cooperation.

The camp invited Professor Mike Rands, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge and Master of Darwin College; Professor Christopher Cullen, Fellow of Darwin College, University of Cambridge and former Director of the Needham Institute; and Shahzad, Head of the Strategy and International Business Group of the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge Professor Ansari and many other well-known professors and scholars to give lectures to the students. Through a series of lectures and seminars, students had an in-depth understanding of the application and innovation of artificial intelligence technology in the field of business and economy, as well as the future development direction, and explored business models and management methods in the era of digital economy.

In addition to the course, the University of Cambridge also organized cultural experience activities and business visits for students. By visiting various colleges and museums of the University of Cambridge, students understood the differences in the organizational form of British universities and the cultural traditions and styles of many colleges, and felt the profound cultural accumulation of the University of Cambridge. In the enterprise visit activity, the students visited the BMW MINI car factory, went inside the BMW MINI car factory to visit various production lines, experienced industry 4.0 and robot automation production and assembly process, and enhanced the students' understanding and practical ability of digital economy and innovation management.

Through this study, students had a deeper understanding of how enterprises carry out innovative applications of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence in the era of digital economy, as well as a more specific understanding of Britain's historical and cultural traditions and university characteristics. In the whole process of the project, the students of our School have demonstrated a solid foundation of management theory and communication ability in English under the condition of teaching in English, fully demonstrating the good educational results of the students in innovative thinking training, independent thinking and practice, and cross-cultural literacy.
