On the morning of August 30th, BNUBS held a work meeting for the new semester at Room 1722 in the Rear Main Building. At the meeting, the spirit of the 2022 Summer Cadre meeting was conveyed, and relevant key work was discussed and deployed. School leaders, Directors of all departments, Party branch secretaries, heads of administrative institutions attended the meeting.

Party Secretary Sun Zhijun conveyed the spirit of the Summer Cadre Meeting. At the meeting, Cheng Jianping, Party Secretary of BNU, conveyed the spirits of the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the Seminar for Provincial and Ministerial Leading Cadres and the 2022 Beijing University Summer Work Conference. A special report was made on the background, progress and requirements of the "Strong Teacher Project". Cheng Jianping pointed out that in the new semester, our first priority is to do a solid job to welcome the Party's 20 National Congress, and made thorough preparation for the follow-up publicity work. The second is to do a good job in the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the university, which is to excavate, inherit, utilize and publicize the valuable experience and fine traditions of the university in the past 120 years. The third is to do a good job on the preparation of the 14th Party Congress of BNU. The fourth is to continue to push forward the inspection and rectification work, and complete all rectification tasks on schedule. The fifth is to continuously improve the strategic layout of "one body and two wings" and the sixth is to accelerate the implementation of the six major plans of "Strong Teacher Project". Ma Jun, the principal of the school, made arrangements for the key work of the new semester in three categories: the implementation of the central inspection and rectification task, the matters to be promoted in this semester, and the matters already decided or planned to be studied by the school. The work mainly involved five areas: personnel training, scientific research, personnel team construction, governance system construction and conditions construction. It is hoped that all stuff can earnestly implement the "14th Five-Year" development plan, the new round of "Double first-class" construction plan and the deployment of the key work points of 2022. It is expected that all stuff can do a good job in this semester's key work and daily work, and take concrete actions to welcome the victory of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 120th anniversary of the University. During the meeting, Sun Hongpei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, focused on the discipline inspection and inspection work of the university; Zhang Kai, vice president, focused on the preparation for the 120th anniversary of the University and the prevention and control of the epidemic in the campus during the autumn semester; Li Xiaobing, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee, made a special report respectively on the employment and safety and stability of students;

Combining with the overall work arrangement of BNU, Sun Zhijun stressed that the whole School should work together and all departments should strengthen their sense of responsibility. While ensuring the smooth development of education and teaching, they should also do a good job in freshman enrollment and education, the revision of talent training program, EQUIS re-certification, and the 120th anniversary of BNU.

Dean Qi Yudong put forward the main goals and specific requirements for the recent key work. The School will further improve the disciplinary system, strengthen the research-oriented talent training system, and build an excellent teaching team. It is hoped that everyone will continue to work together with high spirit to do the key work of the School, and make great contributions so as to celebrate the 20th Party Congress and the 120th anniversary of BNU.

At the meeting, Associate Dean Zhang Pindan made a special report on the progress of the revision of talent training program and Associate Dean Cui Xuegang made a special report on the work arrangement of EQUIS re-certification. The participants had a warm discussion around the key work and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions.
