The 2nd BNUBS International Summer School Successfully Finished

On July 21, 2017, the graduation ceremony of the 2ndBNUBS International Summer School on “Business Opportunities in the Belt and Road” was successfully held at BNU. 16 students from Uni-SA, University of Zaragoza, and BNU received graduation certificates from Prof. Lai Desheng, Dean of BNUBS, witnessed by Justin Cohen, Uni-SA Shanghai Representative Office director, BNUBS teacherProf.CaiHongbo, Prof.Zheng Feihu, Prof. Tong Luqiong, Prof.Zhu Min, Ms. Li Jingya, Ms. Shang Yihong, Ms. Li Liya,Ms. Yang Tianyun and other teacher, which announces the ending of two weeks study and life in Beijing.

Together, everyone reviewed on in-class study, extracurricular research, company visit and presentation through a video, watchedProf.He Liping Wang Lei, Prof.Chen Jidong and other teachers and students sharing theirthoughts which reflectsa vivid summer school experience. Three students were grantedwith the outstanding performance award. Each participant was surprisedand glad to receive a Chinese calligraphy workmade by a BNU students.

Mr. Wang Liyong,deputy secretary general and deputy director of the Contemporary World Research Center of the “The Belt and Road”Think Tank Cooperation International Union attended the summer school opening ceremony and left his remarks. Prof. Hu Biliang, Prof.He Liping and other reknowned scholars from BNU taught students rich contents in lessons on corporate strategy, economy, international trade and globalization, “The Belt and Road” and globalisation.The students paid a visit to the Lenovo Group, a Chinese high-tech enterpriseand Quanjude Group,a traditional time-honouredcooperation unique in cultural and business management. Besides, students learned the broad and profound traditional Chineseculturein a combination of theory and practice,traditional and modern,through the Chinese tea culture lesson, China calligraphy learning and visitingthe Imperial Palace Museum and the Great Wall.

Since 2016, BNUBS has been organizing international summer schools annually. Up to now, more than 10 countries and nearly 50 students have participated in this project. They are well received by both teachers and students from home and abroad.
