Liaison Officers from BNUBS at B&R Forum for International Cooperation

On May 14th and 15th, 2017, the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in Beijing got attentions from all over the world. Distinguished guested from five continents from all walks of life attended the meeting, including 29 government officials, leaders of international organisations, and 1500 guests from 130 countries. The high-level meeting session is the major session of the forum, which was given the most importance by international society due to the forum’s size and number of participants. 50 undergraduate students from BNUBS played indispensable roles as
liaison officers on the parallel session of “Connectivity”.




Liaison officers work for the B&R forum on behalf of the Chinese Preparatory Committee and the Chinese government to contact with foreign guests. Throughout their work, liaison officers had been proactively contacting with the guests, Chinese embassies and foreign embassies by all means. They have been working at airports, hotels and National Convention Centre from the recruiting date until the day the guests left Beijing.

 

The high-level session demand all-round preparations which highlighted the importance of liaison officers’ efforts. They have been getting the most frequent contacts with foreign guests. Therefore, they are sparing every effort to ensure the success of the forum and are representing the national image.
