The Seminar between School Leaders and Overseas High-end Leading Talents Was Held

On the afternoon of April 11, 2023, Professor Hwy -- chang Moon (Korean) and Professor Lin Cui (Australian), the leading overseas talents of our School, visited BNUBS. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, and Sun Zhijun, Party Secretary, held cordial talks with them. Associate Dean Cai Hongbo and Xie Jia, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, attended the meeting.

Dean Qi first extended a warm welcome to the two professors. He mentioned that he was very glad to meet offline after the epidemic and then introduced the basic information of the School, especially the achievements of the School in recent years in talent introduction, discipline construction, international publication, international ranking and other aspects. He emphasized that the high-end foreign professional experts is an important part of the faculty of the School, and plays an irreplaceable role in the training of talents and the construction of the faculty. The performance and progress of the School cannot be achieved without the long-term guidance and support of the two professors. Secretary Sun Zhijun pointed out that the university and the School attach great importance to the internationalization of the faculty, which is an important supplement and development of the existing faculty of the School. He introduced the standards and structure of talent introduction to Beijing Normal University, and also mentioned that the two professors are high-level leading talents introduced by our university, which plays an obvious role in promoting the structure optimization and internationalization of the faculty. He hoped that the two professors could give more suggestions on the governance and development strategy of the School, and get more deeply involved in the scientific research and talent cultivation projects of the School.

Prof. Hwy –chang Moon and Prof. Lin Cui expressed their gratitude to the School for its warm reception and recalled their participation in the School's international conferences and the teaching of WEC programs during the epidemic. They said that if conditions allow, they will be more actively and comprehensively involved in the School's scientific research and teaching projects through a combination of online and offline, and more deeply involved in the School's talent training.
