Have you ever regretted about not being able to give a speech fluently in important occasions? Have you ever felt deeply ashamed about not knowing what to say in the annual meeting? How can you encourage everyone to fight with you in the business mobilization meeting of your department? Public speaking ability is a useful tool for management elites. It can make them invincible in workplace. Students with problems described above have found the solutions in the “Make Attractive Speech, Build Your Dreams” Training held on December 12. The Training has received great support from leaders and teachers of MBA Center and ended successfully with great results.
The BNU MBA Career Development Department is founded to make students’ career better by organizing various kinds of vocational trainings and professional sharing salons.
The Training has started at 7:30. Surprisingly, “Teacher Deng”,the host of the Traning, is a ten-year-old boy. Facing all these highly educated and experienced“students”, he delivered his opening speech loud and clear without any stage freight, warming up the atmosphere immediately and drawing peals of applause from time to time. His great performance has made all audience wonder whether their children, or even themselves, could make such a speech in here or not.
Attractive Speech seems to be a boring and useless lesson and people always miscomprehend it as empty inspirational quotes. But it is really difficult to be a good speaker. Deng Bohas explained the profound theories of the Training in simple language and promoted it to another level. The Training started from an interactive game in order to make the audience get familiar with each other quickly, and the following activities are personal experience sharing, concept lead-in, and practical case review.
Speech, as a practical lesson, requires lots of practice. Your problems in delivering a speech will be solved when you practice more and truly apply your speech skills in daily work. Through the Training, Deng Bo guided the audience attentively. While listening carefully to him, the audience also responded actively by going up onto the stage to experience the charm and difficulty of making a speech. The atmosphere in the classroom was extremely hot!
Given the time constraints and students’ fatigue after a full-day learning, the Training only conducted simple lead-in training in order to ensure the effect. However, the “10 Beliefs”of“love, trust, faith, believe, practice, make mistake, let go, open, amplify, and PK” offered by Teacher Deng are deeply rooted in the hearts of all audience. He also explained the Beliefs in detail and the audience surely benefitted a lot.
The Training has ended in applause, but it is just a beginning. Teacher Deng has divided the Training into four parts, making it easier for the students to understand and process. Therefore, they can overcome the difficulty of making a public speech in their professional lives.

Training 2: About eye contact, pace, speech content and training, self-introduction, opening and ending, and how to deliver a complete speech.
Training 3: About speech training in normal occasions, for example, proposing a toast, making a wedding speech, election speech, project speech, and so on.
