He asked the attendees to examine themselves with the following questions: What’s your plan for the two-to-three-yearMBA study? What will you get from MBA study? These questions threw by Mr. Zhen left the attendees in deep thinking. Mr. Zhen said that over 80% of MBA students were not satisfied with their gains after graduation. Because they thought that the study schedule of MBA was too tight, the lectures and communication opportunities, though abundant enough, are not insightful enough, and teachers are not like as considerable as nannies any more. What you can get from a teacher actually depends on your learning ability. MBA is a precious resources repository, whether you can make a good use of it or not is all up to you. Your choice is much more important than your effort. In this process, a correct method is crucial and accumulation is also of great significance.

How could we maximize the value of MBA education? Mr. Zhen adopted a physical equation, Vt=VO+a*t, to vividly express to students that: before studying MBA, everything is just like“VO”, which can never change even with “t”(time), the only thing that can be changed is the “a”(acceleration), which is also what we can do for now. Therefore, We should try our best to achieve a good career planning and life goals.

Mr. Zhen said that we might have many purposes for studying MBA, for example, taking diploma, learning knowledge, making friends, expanding horizon, enhancing confidence, career transition or promotion, but all in all, we study MBA to gain wonderful life in the future. In order realize these purposes, we should cultivate 7 good habits that widely shared by successful men, which are: passion, focus, execution, study, reflection, gratitude, and self-discipline.
Then, Mr. Zhen elaborated the way of planning MBA study. According to him, learning can be divided into three levels, which are learning knowledge, learning methods and tools to solve problems, and learning concept. As for learning knowledge, we should accumulate as much knowledge as possible. We can go to other schools to listen to interesting lectures, but it is totally pointless listening to lecture for its own sake. Preliminary learning is very important. It is necessary to prepare several in-depth, challenging questions in advance, take notes and keep in touch with the lecturer. Good accumulation can help us form our core competitiveness, including English oral test, GMAT, and certification.
