内容简介:
Urban and rural communities throughout the developed world are engaged in a slow recovery from an unprecedented economic downturn that has not been seen since the Great Depression. Key to economic recovery for these communities is not only creating opportunities for business innovation and entrepreneurship. Businesses and communities need to work together in an integrated way to increase the competitiveness of their area in an ever-competitive global market.
The seminar wants to describe how the Italy’s industrial district could represent a model for regional business development and ways to respond to economic changes and the new global marketplace.
More in deep, the presentation focuses on the Italian Industrial Districts model and specifically on the Marche Region’s Districts. Performances and reaction during the crisis are examined, to see how districts faced the challenges of economic downturn in the global market. Main characteristics of firms operating in Italy are described, as well as their management style and typical features of the Italian business environment.
