The Opening Ceremony of 2018 BNUBS International Summer School Was Successfully Held

On the morning of July 2, 2018, under the coordination of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of BNU, the “2018 International Summer School—National University of Ireland Short-Term Study Program to China”, jointly organized by BNUBS, School of Chinese Language and Literature of BNU (SCLL) and the China Education International Exchange Association, held the opening ceremony in the front main building B204. The International Summer School has enrolled 10 international students from 8 institutions in Ireland and a number of Chinese student volunteers.

 

The guests attending the opening ceremony included Cheng Hongguang, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of BNU, Cui Xuegang, Deputy Dean of BNUBS, Li Fenglin, Deputy Dean of SCLL, Xiao Lei, Director of the China Education International Exchange Association, Niamh Madden, Director of the Irish Education Market, Jia Xiaohan, Professor of SCLL, Si Meng from the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, and Li Jingya, lecturer from BNUBS. In his speech, expressing his welcome to the students from afar, Deputy Dean Cui Xuegang introduced the basic situation of BNUBS and the International Summer School and hoped that all the students would learn more about China while gaining knowledge.

 

In the 2018 International Summer School, students will spend three weeks studying Chinese and China’s economy, society and culture, including Chinese Intensive Course, China’s Culture Experience Course and the China Economics Seminar, and enjoying Peking Opera performance in the theater. In addition, students will study Business Negotiation, International Business and China and visit the AAuto Quicker app, Zhongguancun Internet Education Innovation Center, Vestas and other units and enterprises.
